Bullying, Cyberbullying and the Overlap: What Does Age Have to Do with It?

School bullying and cyberbullying represent the most common forms of victimization during childhood adolescence in many countries across globe. Although they can be studied as distinct phenomena with their own defining characteristics, there is evidence to suggest that are related often co-occur. The present research aimed estimate rates school cyberbullying, evolution by age, analyzed any possible overlap between two. An empirical study was carried out a large sample children adolescents Galicia, Spain (N = 2083), where 10–17 year olds were presented European Bullying Intervention Project Questionnaire Cyberbullying Questionnaire. found more prevalent than 25.1% involved victims 14.3% bully-victims, while 9.4% for 5.8% bully-victims. Perpetration similar (4.4% 4.3% respectively). both adds whole-community approach tackling all types experiences, opposed each silo. clear age differences behaviours also appropriateness tailoring anti-bullying programs target specific groups.
